After Percy's first campaign, he decided to live with his mother on a regular city instead of staying in camp half-blood. He was happy with his mother but he missed a lot camp half-blood. Percy waited for the school year to end so he could go back to the camp but the last day of school his mom received a letter that said that Percy should not assist to the camp o summer because they were having some issues. His mood became depressed until he arrived to the gym were three monsters attacked him and burned the whole gym. Annabeth help Percy escape and they both arrived to camp half-blood with Percy's best friend Tyson, who was a cyclops. Percy didn't know that Tyson was a cyclops so he was really amazed when he saved the camp and him as a cyclops. When Tyson saved the camp Percy, Annabeth and him went to talk to Chiron the hero trainer and Percy's friend but he only could give them bad news that explained how he was fired from his job.

The quotes I chose were " Clarisse said you got fired" (Riordan, 80) and "some in Olympus do not trust me now under the circumstances" (Riordan 81).

When I read this two sentences I felt really mad and sad because Chiron is a really good teacher and if he wouldn't trained Percy all the gods would be in war. He trained all the important heroes and he has been loyal to the gods since his duty started. The thing that bothers me the most is that they not trust him because what happen to the camp and that was almost impossible to prevent! These are my feelings of this event in the book.

This book ha give me lot of excitement so I think the rest of it will be even better. I think Percy and his crew will go out to save Thalia tree so it can protect the camp and Chiron will have his job back. I hope Tyson is a cousin or brother of brother because he does not has any family and Percy needs more than his mother of family. I hope Percy meets with Luke again and Luke to turn from a bad guy to a hero! I am really excited to see what happens, how the book finishes and specially to write more about it here!

It is action time!

In this part of the book Percy and his crew jump into the action with a rough start. Tyson's faith wasn't good until Poseidon claimed him as his son and Percy's brother which made Percy feel uncomfortable and mad. After a terrible Pigeon's attack during the chariots race Clarisse was named camps best hero in an unfair decision made by the new camp director. One night, Percy went out to the woods to think about the camp dying and his best friend Grover in big danger, he met with Hermes. Hermes told Percy that he needed to do the quest because he was the only one that could accomplish it and then he gave him some gifts that would help him accomplish the quest. When Hermes left, Annabeth and Tyson showed up and the wood nymphs saw them which put the three of them in great danger. They ran and ride three water-horses that took them to a cruise which was really weird and dangerous because the cruise was boarded by a monster and Luke!

"If there is something I've learned over the eons, it's that you can't give up on your family, no matter how tempting they make it".(Riordan, 156) This quote made me feel moved because Hermes didn't care about how much his son hated him, he tried over and over.

"Percy is my brother!?".(Riordan,102) This quote made me feel moved because Tyson's first family member he knew was his best friend and he was really excited about it. This two quotes show how important family is and I think they try to tell us that we should value family more.

I think that further in the book Luke will fight Percy and Percy will win and take Luke to mount Olympus so the gods can decide what will be his punishment. The idea I want to happen in the book is that Percy will accept Tyson as his brother and they can be a real family with Percy's mom so Tyson wont have to be homeless again. Something I am sure that will happen is that Luke will kill someone because he is really good at fighting and he could finish someone really fast. I am really excited to read the rest of the book and specially write what happens here!

Entering the Sea of Monster

Percy and his crew boarded a cruise that Luke was using for his plan so in this part of the story Percy and Luke meet and Luke tries to kill him, Annabeth and Tyson but they managed to escape in a lifeboat. When they got away they went to a refuge Annabeth did and a Hydra attacked them, if Clarisse wouldn't showed up the three of them would've died fighting the Hydra. Percy and his crew went aboard on Clarisse's naval ship that was given by her father. When they enter in the sea of monsters two monsters destroyed Clarrise's boat making Percy and Annabeth  forced to get away in a lifeboat but Tyson bought them some time and died. At the end of this part of the story Percy and Annabeth got trapped in a witch's resort but they drank vitamins that Hermes gave them with the other gifts saved them from the spell that the witch threw on them and also helped them to escape from the resort.

When Luke said "He is reforming" (Riordan,194) I felt really scared because he refers to Kronos (the most dangerous titan). If Kronos finish reforming he would kill all the gods or he would try. The only thing that made me know that it won't be easy for Luke to accomplish his plan is when Annabeth told him "Go to Tartarus"(Riordan, 194). I know the three of them will stop Luke because Percy and Tyson are the only sons alive of one of the most important gods. If they work together with Annabeth they will stop Luke and Kronos and they will save the camp and Grover.

I think Tyson didn't die and he is going to turn bad because he is fireproof and so easy to fool and Luke is really smart so he can fool him really easily. I am worried that Clarisse survived and will do something bad to Percy so she can get all the glory of the camp. The possibility that worries me the most is  that when Percy arrive to the cyclops home he will find Grover near death. Until this point the book has lot of unexpected events that make it really interesting to read. I am really excited to red the rest of the book and specially to write what happens here!!!

the beginning to the journey

Into The Cave

After Percy and Annabeth ran away from the witch's island they finished in a island full of sirens which messed up Annabeth's mind making her trying to commit suicide. When they were back at the boat they navigated to the cyclops island that had a smell of sheep and a beautiful scenery. In the island Percy and Annabeth saved both Grover and Clarisse, fighting against the most dangerous cyclops but the cyclops injured Annabeth. When they couldn't take the fleece because of the human eater sheep wild pack, Tyson appeared and he saved them all and helped them to get out of the island.

I was amazed when Percy described his dream about Luke's boat. Luke's crew had a box that had Kronos in it which made it really dangerous, " No, the girl's voice trembled, It can't be. From the depths of the ocean , Kronos laughed so loudly the whole ship trembled." (Riordan, 283).  "Her hairline was sticky with blood. Her skin was pale and clammy"(Riordan, 325). I was worried when Percy described how hurt was Annabeth.  Specially I felt disgusted when he described her injuries because she was pretty bad.

Lot of things can happen now that Percy and his crew got out of the island alive. The most possible thing that can happen is that Luke catch the and he take the Fleece from them. If he catches them I would like to see a new fight between the two bear brothers against Tyson. If the Fleece gets stolen by Luke the whole world and Olympus would be in a lot of danger. Percy and his crew are so close to save the camp half blood but Luke is so close to catch them. I am so excited to see how the book ends an specially write what happens here!!!

bye-bye Annabeth

In the beginning of the third book of the Percy Jackson's series; Percy, Annabeth, Thalia and Grover went to a school on the top of a cliff to recruit two half-bloods before Luke does. When they arrived they met with the principal of the school ( that is a monster hidden) so he told them to go to the dance in the gym, but when they arrived to the dance they saw that the principal took the two brothers half-blood out of the dance, when Percy saw this he went after them. By the time, he stopped the principal and they fight, but the principal is too strong for Percy to defeat, so Percy faked that he was really weak so the principal would take him with him and wouldn't kill Percy. Out of the school Percy tried to contact Grover by the link they have in their minds  (that they use for situations when they are in danger) and he accomplished to do it.  After some time Thalia, Annabeth and Grover made it to the top of the cliff where the principal was with Percy and the two  brothers half-blood. When the principal had defeated them and was about to kill them, Artemis (the goddess of the hunters) and her hunters arrived to save them, but when they kill the monster hidden as a principal they kill Annabeth too.

I felt really shocked when Annabeth dies when Artemis and her hunters kill the monsters so I chose these quote " the monster, with Annabeth still on his back, leaped over the cliff and tumbled into darkness" (Riordan, 39) . I couldn't believe that Artemis hunters couldn't wait until Annabeth hops of the monsters back or see if she could kill him because if she managed to hop on she could've killed him. I felt sad when Artemis told Percy "I'm really sorry Percy Jackson, but your friend is beyond help"(Riordan, 40). Annabeth was the smart one and the one that always kept everybody alive so I felt sorry that anybody could save her or even say goodbye. If Artemis and her hunters would've wait or had given a chance Annabeth would still be alive.

I learned from what I learned this week that safety is more important that honor because Percy didn't wait for the rest of their friends so he could kill the monster and save the brothers alone. I also learned that everybody should think before the act, I learned this from Annabeth's death because she did not think before she hopped on the monster's back. I hope that in my reading from next week Percy meets with his dad and Poseidon gives him a quest. I also think that after Percy meets up with his dad he gets a message from Chiron telling Percy that he is in great danger. I am excited to read and discover what happens next in Titan's Curse and to write it here so I can share it with you!

Understanding Prophecies

When Percy and his crew arrived to Miami Percy decide that the only one that would take the Fleece to the camp should be Clarisse so they gathered all their money and sent her off to the airport with the Fleece and all their money. When Clarisse took off to the airport Luke and his crew attacked them with some of their warriors, it was the end for Percy and his crew so he challenged Luke for a one to one duel. When Luke defeated Percy on the duel Chiron and a lot of centaurs attacked Luke crew saving Percy and his friends and taking them to a safer place where he explained the prophecies to Percy. When Everyone got back to camp they put the fleece at the border of Thalia's tree and it revived Thalia!

" The titan Kronos is my father" (Riordan, 372) these were Chiron's words that explained why the gods didn't trust him when Thalia's tree was poisoned. The gods were worried that Kronos messed up Chiron's mind to make him help Luke to make Kronos heal. After Luke's mistakes I think he is good in a certain way " I was gonna let you take the fleece" (Riordan, 367). I think that Luke only want revenge on his father but he does care about camp half blood because his brothers and friends are there. I was really amazed and specially surprised because of these two quotes because they change almost all I believed of the book.

I hope that in the third book Luke revives Kronos so Percy can complete his prophecy about deciding Olympus faith. I learned that if you want to triumph in your life you  need to believe in yourself. I also learned that you need to appreciate your family while you can. I am really excited to see how Thalia is and how she fights! I really liked the book because the author wrote the exact words he had to use and he didn't use any extra words so it was straight.
